Leo as a friend

Life with a Leo can be a ball, whether it's caviar flavoured crisps at the Dog and Duck, or getting involved in the general carnival of life. They don't like being alone, and adore other people's company.

Leos make good mates, but they often choose chums they can boss about a bit. Sporty Leos will want to be team captain, and will give out commands even if they're not!

Leos will put their love first, but friends come next. With their Fixed and faithful natures, Leos often keep the same pals throughout life. So the pussycat and their pal will start off as youngsters, and go through life together, getting married at about the same time, having their children together, and so on, until they end up as a couple of geriatrics down at the Bingo.

You'll never want if you have a Leo pal. Some of them will be generous to a fault, giving out gifts left, right and centre, and spending lots of loot on little luxuries for you and all they want is for you to be pleased. They don't expect you to rush off and go silly in Selfridges, spending all your salary on a present of preposterous proportions.

There's a grand camaraderie between a Leo and a chum, and they can go off and paint the town gold together. You can traipse off to the theatre, cinema, night-clubs, discos or pubs together, sit in the sports club for a snifter, or any centre of recreation or entertainment, leisure and pleasure. Leos, of course, are great sun worshippers.

They adore lying on a sandy beach during the day and showing off their tans at night while dancing in a disco. So pack your towel, and off you go together!

You must remember one thing, though. Don't step out of line. Your chum will want to be in the limelight, and it's not big enough to take two. But would you want to spoil then moments of glory?

Leos' faces light up when they come across kids, because they adore them. These Lions have an enormous affinity and affection for children, though not in the same way as Gemini's, who see kids as intellectual and intelligent. Leos consider kids to be cuddly, clowning creatures, who they enjoy being with. So, if you have any children, you can be sure your Leo pal will get on with them like a house on fire.

Lovely Leos will be staunch and sincere, and will want you to be the same and if you do treat your pal properly, you'll have a friend for life. But let your Leo down in some way, and be prepared for the consequences. Usually, Leos have a good growl to keep you on your toes. They don't mean it, and quickly start purring again when you pat them on the head.

You incur the wrath of one of these beasties at your peril. That purring pussycat will suddenly roar and rampage, full of fire and fury, and send you running up the nearest tree. But rather than snap and snarl, Leos will love to laugh, and especially with their pals. They don't have a dry sense of humour like Capricorns, but prefer belly laughs. So you can be sure that he who laughs loudest is Leo! What do you expect from a barrel of fun?
