The Hanged Man is the twelfth card of the Major Arcana.

This card represents a situation where one has to wait for an outcome. It is a time where everything has come to a standstill and you are unable to take any course of action. You have reached a crossroads in life and a decision has to be made, but you do not know which path to take. It is a time of complete indecision. It is a time to let go and review the situation.

The Hanged Man also signifies the sacrifice of material comforts or the ending of a destructive relationship. This may leave you feeling all alone, but in the long run it will improve the quality of your life and your self-esteem.

This card indicates that it is time to give up something addictive, such as smoking, drinking or over-eating. It's a good time to start a healthy life-style regime.
